I-595 CORRIDOR TRAFFIC IMPACT REPORT JANUARY 9, 2026– JANUARY 16, 2026

I-595 SCHEDULED CLOSURES FOR ROUTINE OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE:

The following mobile operations are scheduled on Eastbound and Westbound I-595 general purpose lanes and Eastbound and Westbound State Road 84 to perform lighting repairs:

  • Mobile operations will take place on Eastbound and Westbound I-595 throughout the project limits will take place from 9:00 pm to 5:00 am on Sunday, January 4, 2026, to Friday, January 16, 2026.

SCHEDULED PROJECT NOTICE— THE I-595 CORRIDOR RESURFACING PROJECT:

OUTSIDE AND INSIDE LANE CLOSURES ON WESTBOUND I-595 BETWEEN PINE ISLAND ROAD AND NOB HILL ROAD FOR LOOP INSTALLATION ARE SCHEDULED ON SELECT NIGHTS FROM 9:00PM TO 5:00AM BEGINNING SUNDAY, JANUARY 12, 2026 THROUGH WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 14, 2026. -- These closures are necessary to safely perform loop installation as part of the I-595 Resurfacing (Phase I) project. Outside lane closures are scheduled for the nights of January 12–13, 2026, with inside lane closures scheduled for January 13–14, 2026. Lane closures will begin with the rightmost lane at 9:00PM, followed by the second lane at 9:30PM, additional lanes thereafter at approximately 10:00PM. Ongoing milling and resurfacing activities may be impacted by weather conditions. Please use caution in the area and follow all posted detour signs.

FULL RAMP CLOSURE ON NORTHBOUND TURNPIKE EXIT TO 595/STATE ROAD 84/US-441 (EXIT 54) IS TO BE CLOSED ON SELECT NIGHTS FROM 9:00PM TO 5:00AM BEGINNING SUNDAY, JANUARY 25, 2026, THROUGH WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 28, 2026— This closure is necessary to safely perform milling and resurfacing operations. Please note that on Tuesday night, January 27, 2026, work will begin later, with the closure starting at 11:30pm instead of 9:00pm. A detour will allow drivers to continue Northbound Turnpike and follow sings via Griffin Road and US-441—drivers will head north and merge on I-595 and State Road 84 where they will have access to all the same route. Ongoing milling and resurfacing activities may be impacted by weather conditions. Please use caution in the area and follow all posted detour signs.

n addition to ongoing maintenance activities, the I-595 Resurfacing Project began on Sunday, June 22, 2025. This project includes repaving the I-595 corridor—encompassing the Express Lanes, general-purpose lanes, and State Road 84—to improve the durability and resilience of the roadway. It also involves upgrading signage and pavement markings to meet current standards and enhancing the pavement surface for a smoother, safer driving experience. All work is being performed during nighttime hours to minimize impacts on daytime traffic. Updates on lane closures and project progress will continue to be shared as work advances.
