SCHEDULED PROJECT NOTICE— THE I-595 CORRIDOR RESURFACING PROJECT:
INSIDE LANES ON EASTBOUND I-595 FROM SOUTHWEST 136TH AVENUE TO DAVIE ROAD FOR BRIDGE PERMANENT TAPE MARKINGS ARE SCHEDULED TO CLOSE NIGHTLY FROM 9:00 PM TO 5:00 AM BEGINNING MONDAY, FEBRUARY 16, 2026 THROUGH WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 18, 2026, WITH A BACKUP NIGHT ON THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 19, 2026 — This closure is required to safely perform bridge permanent tape markings as part of the I-595 Resurfacing (Phase I) Project. The closure will occur nightly between the hours of 9:00 PM and 5:00 AM. During this operation, the entrance to the I-595 Eastbound Express Lanes east of SW 136th Avenue will be blocked while the contractor performs work on the Flamingo Bridge. Ongoing construction activities may be impacted by weather conditions. Please use caution in the area and follow all posted signs.
OUTSIDE LANES ON EASTBOUND I-595 FROM SOUTHWEST 136TH AVENUE TO HIATUS ROAD FOR BRIDGE PERMANENT TAPE MARKINGS ARE SCHEDULED TO CLOSE NIGHTLY FROM 9:00 PM TO 5:00 AM BEGINNING THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 19, 2026 THROUGH SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 22, 2026, WITH BACKUP NIGHTS ON SUNDAY, MARCH 1, 2026 THROUGH TUESDAY, MARCH 3, 2026 — This closure is required to safely perform bridge permanent tape markings as part of the I-595 Resurfacing (Phase I) Project. The closure will occur nightly between the hours of 9:00 PM and 5:00 AM. During this operation, the Sawgrass Expressway southbound to I-595 Eastbound ramp, I-75 northbound to I-595 Eastbound ramp, and State Road 84 eastbound to I-595 Eastbound ramp will be closed while the contractor performs work on the Flamingo Road and Hiatus Road bridges. Ongoing construction activities may be impacted by weather conditions. Please use caution in the area and follow all posted signs.
In addition to ongoing maintenance activities, the I-595 Resurfacing Project began on Sunday, June 22, 2025. This project includes repaving the I-595 corridor—encompassing the Express Lanes, general-purpose lanes, and State Road 84—to improve the durability and resilience of the roadway. It also involves upgrading signage and pavement markings to meet current standards and enhancing the pavement surface for a smoother, safer driving experience. All work is being performed during nighttime hours to minimize impacts on daytime traffic. Updates on lane closures and project progress will continue to be shared as work advances.
