I-595 CORRIDOR TRAFFIC IMPACT REPORT AUGUST 21, 2026 – AUGUST 28, 2026

I-595 SCHEDULED CLOSURES FOR ROUTINE OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE:

The following mobile operations and closures are scheduled on Northbound I-75, Eastbound and Westbound I-595, and Eastbound and Westbound State Road 84 to perform sign structure work order repairs, DMS replacements, bridge traffic railing cleaning, structure maintenance work, and routine maintenance, including lighting, replacement of damaged and faded sign shields and lettering, striping repairs, concrete surface treatments, and maintenance work on cracks in the SS 86S904 stiffeners:

  • Mobile operations on Eastbound and Westbound State Road 862 throughout the project limits will occur from 9:00pm to 5:00am on select nights beginning Sunday, August 16, 2026, through Monday, August 31, 2026.
  • Mobile operations on Eastbound and Westbound State Road 84 throughout the project limits will occur from 9:00pm to 5:00am on select nights beginning Sunday, August 16, 2026, through Monday, August 31, 2026.
  • Full closure on Eastbound State Road 84, east of Flamingo Road, from 9:00 pm to 4:00 am, Monday, August 24, 2026, through Friday, August 28, 2026.
    Motorists will be detoured via northbound Flamingo Road to eastbound Broward Boulevard and then continue to southbound Hiatus Road.
    Residents living along SW 121st Avenue will maintain access to exit their communities throughout the closure.
    Access into the communities will be limited and periodically coordinated by the contractor, with assistance from FHP, as needed during the work.
    Emergency responders will maintain unrestricted access to the community at all times throughout the closure.
  • The south/east shoulder on the northbound I-75 ramp to eastbound I-595 will be closed from 10:00am to 4:00pm beginning Tuesday, August 25, 2026, through Thursday, August 27, 2026.
  • Two inside lanes on Eastbound I-595 between Hiatus Road and Nob Hill Road will be closed from 9:00pm to 4:00am beginning Sunday, August 30, 2026, through Friday, September 18, 2026 (Bridge 860360).
  • One outside lane on Eastbound I-595 between Hiatus Road and Nob Hill Road will be closed from 9:00pm to 4:00am beginning Sunday, August 30, 2026, through Friday, September 18, 2026 (Bridge 860360).
  • Two inside lanes on Eastbound I-595 between Flamingo Road and Hiatus Road will be closed from 9:00 pm to 4:00 am beginning Sunday, August 30, 2026, through Friday, September 18, 2026 (Bridge 860371).
  • Two outside lanes on Eastbound I-595 between Flamingo Road and Hiatus Road will be closed from 9:00 pm to 4:00 am beginning Sunday, August 30, 2026, through Friday, September 18, 2026 (Bridge 860371).
  • One inside lane on Eastbound State Road 84, 0.32 mile west of US 441/State Road 7, will be closed from 9:00 pm to 4:00 am beginning Sunday, August 30, 2026, through Friday, September 18, 2026 (Bridge 860413).
  • One outside lane on Eastbound State Road 84, 0.32 mile west of US 441/State Road 7, will be closed from 9:00 pm to 4:00 am beginning Sunday, August 30, 2026, through Friday, September 18, 2026 (Bridge 860413).
  • One inside lane on Westbound I-595 between Nob Hill Road and Hiatus Road will be closed from 9:00 pm to 4:00 am beginning Sunday, August 30, 2026, through Friday, September 18, 2026 (Bridge 860370).
  • Two Westbound I-595 Express lanes between Nob Hill Road and Hiatus Road will be closed from 9:00 pm to 4:00 am beginning Sunday, August 30, 2026, through Friday, September 18, 2026 (Bridge 860370).
  • One inside lane on Eastbound I-595 between SW 136th Avenue and Flamingo Road will be closed from 9:00 pm to 4:00 am beginning Sunday, August 30, 2026, through Friday, September 18, 2026 (Structure 86A659).
  • One outside lane on Eastbound I-595 between SW 136th Avenue and Flamingo Road will be closed from 9:00 pm to 4:00 am beginning Sunday, August 30, 2026, through Friday, September 18, 2026 (Structure 86A659).

SCHEDULED PROJECT NOTICE— THE I-595 CORRIDOR RESURFACING PROJECT – PHASE 2:

Eastbound I-595 between west of the Sawgrass Expressway southbound lanes and Southwest 136th Avenue will have a right lane closure from 9:00pm to 5:00am on select nights beginning Sunday, August 16, 2026, through Thursday, August 20, 2026, with a backup date of Sunday, August 23, 2026. Nightly milling, resurfacing, and striping activities may be impacted by weather conditions.

Eastbound I-595 between west of the Sawgrass Expressway southbound lanes and Southwest 136th Avenue will have a right lane closure from 9:00 pm to 5:00 am on select nights beginning Sunday, August 30, 2026, through Thursday, September 3, 2026. Westbound I-595 between Pine Island Road and Hiatus Road will have two left lane closures, including the Westbound I-595 off-ramp to Westbound State Road 84 (Ramp J) and the Westbound State Road 84 on-ramp to Westbound I-595 (Ramp L2), from 9:00pm to 5:00am on select nights beginning Sunday, August 23, 2026, through Thursday, August 27, 2026, with a backup date of Sunday, August 30, 2026. Westbound I-595 between Hiatus Road and Flamingo Road, including the Westbound State Road 84 on-ramp to Westbound I-595 (Ramp F), will have two left lane closures from 9:00pm to 5:00am on select nights beginning Sunday, August 23, 2026, through Thursday, August 27, 2026, with a backup date of Sunday, August 30, 2026. Westbound I-595 between Flamingo Road and Southwest 136th Avenue will have two left lane closures, including the Westbound I-595 off-ramp to Westbound State Road 84 (Ramp C) and the Westbound State Road 84 on-ramp to westbound I-595 (Ramp B), from 9:00pm to 5:00am on select nights beginning Sunday, August 23, 2026, through Thursday, September 3, 2026, with a backup date of Sunday, September 6, 2026. Exit ramp from inside the Westbound Express lanes to the E-S Connector (Westbound I 595/Southbound I 75) will have a lane closure from 9:00pm to 5:00am on select nights beginning Sunday, August 30, 2026, through Thursday, September 10, 2026, with a backup date of Sunday, September 13, 2026. Nightly milling, resurfacing, and striping activities may be impacted by weather conditions.
