I-595 CORRIDOR TRAFFIC IMPACT REPORT AUGUST 8, 2025– AUGUST 15, 2025
I-595 SCHEDULED CLOSURES FOR ROUTINE OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE:
The following mobile operations are scheduled along Eastbound and Westbound I-595 and Eastbound and Westbound State Road 84. These activities include roadway lighting repairs and ITS CCTV Renewal Work:
- Mobile operations will take place on Eastbound and Westbound I-595 throughout the project limits from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 3, 2025, to Friday, August 15, 2025.
- Mobile operations will take place on Eastbound and Westbound State Road 84 throughout the project limits from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 3, 2025, to Friday, August 15, 2025.
- Ramp closure from Eastbound State Road 84 to Eastbound I 595 will be closed from 9:00pm to 5:00am on Monday, August 11, 2025 to Friday, August 15, 2025.
SCHEDULED PROJECT NOTICE— THE I-595 CORRIDOR RESURFACING PROJECT:
• WESTBOUND I-595 GENERAL PURPOSE LANES FROM DAVIE ROAD TO FLAMINGO ROAD TO BE CLOSED ON SELECT NIGHTS THROUGH THURSDAY, AUGUST 14, 2025 --- Westbound I-595 from Davie Road to Flamingo Road may have up to three lanes closed on select nights through Thursday, August 14, 2025. The first lane will close at 9:00 p.m., the second lane at 9:30 p.m., and the third lane at 10:00 p.m., with all lanes reopening by 5:00 a.m.
Detours including impacted on- and off-ramps, remain in place along Westbound State Road 84 from Davie Road to Flamingo Road. Ongoing milling and resurfacing activities may be impacted by weather conditions.
Motorists are encouraged to continue traveling west on State Road 84 and use the next available on-ramp to Westbound I-595 once it is open and safe for travel. Please use caution in the area and follow all posted detour signs.
• EASTBOUND I-595 GENERAL PURPOSE LANES FROM 136TH AVENUE TO DAVIE ROAD TO BE CLOSED ON SELECT NIGHTS— PROJECTED TO BEGIN SUNDAY, AUGUST 10, 2025 THROUGH THURSDAY, AUGUST 28, 2025 --- Eastbound I-595 from 136th Avenue to Davie Road may have up to three lanes closed on select nights, projected to begin Sunday, August 10, 2025 through Thursday, August 28, 2025. The first lane will close at 9:00 p.m., the second lane at 9:30 p.m., and the third lane at 10:00 p.m., with all lanes reopening by 5:00 a.m.

In addition to ongoing maintenance activities, the I-595 Resurfacing Project that began on Sunday, June 22, 2025. This project includes repaving the I-595 corridor—encompassing the Express Lanes, general-purpose lanes, and State Road 84—to improve the durability and resilience of the roadway. It also involves upgrading signage and pavement markings to meet current standards and enhancing the pavement surface for a smoother, safer driving experience. All work is being performed during nighttime hours to minimize impacts on daytime traffic. Updates on closures and project progress will continue to be shared as work advances.
